Mission: Multiplication 2.0

The application "Mission: Multiplication" offers an innovative approach to learning multiplication through a gamified experience. Developed during my sophomore year, it was submitted to the Congressional House App Challenge in 2014 and achieved second place in California's District 28, one of the most competitive regions in the competition.

Fundamentally, Mission: Multiplication reimagines traditional flashcards by transforming them into an engaging game environment. This design aims to facilitate multiplication practice for young learners while mitigating the monotony typically associated with repetitive drills. The game narrative involves controlling a rocket navigating through space to destroy asteroids. Throughout gameplay, players encounter various multiplication problems and answer choices presented as rings. The scoring system rewards players based on the number of asteroids destroyed and correct responses, encouraging sustained engagement and repeated practice.
